Public invited to City’s premier recreation venue for active adults 50 and older

The Tallahassee Senior Center makes life more enriching, active and engaging for seniors in the local community. To showcase its many programs and services, the public is invited to an Open House on Wednesday, March 26, from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
The Tallahassee Senior Center is a vibrant community where every senior can find joy and purpose. Whether you're interested in the arts, staying active, learning something new or simply looking for a welcoming environment, attending the Open House is a great way to start.
Opening remarks at 3:30 p.m. will highlight Tallahassee Senior Center & Foundation 2024 accomplishments, including an update on the second Tallahassee Senior Center.
Also on the agenda:
- Explore Programs: Discover the diverse range of programs offered. From lively fitness classes and creative arts to educational programs and social events, there's something for everyone.
- Meet Instructors: Get to know the talented instructors who lead the center's programs. Guests will be able to chat, ask questions and see the enthusiasm they bring to each class.
- Take a Tour: From the bustling auditorium to the cozy art studio, each corner of the center is filled with activities.
- Demonstrations and Refreshments: Class demonstrations will give a sample of Senior Center activities while guests enjoy light refreshments.
The Tallahassee Senior Center is committed to enhancing the lives of active adults, age 50 and older, by providing a welcoming space to engage in meaningful activities that promote physical, emotional and social well-being.
The Tallahassee Senior Center, located at 1400 N. Monroe St., is part of the City of Tallahassee's Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs department. The Tallahassee Senior Center Foundation works in partnership with the City of Tallahassee to support the programs of the Senior Center.
